Ten Stone Mountain Lodge

Imagine this: Fly deep into the remote Northwest Territories to spend 6 days hiking in breathtaking landscapes while sleeping at night in a cozy, fully furnished cabin by an alpine lake. We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Black Spruce Education to offer this one-of-a-kind adventure at the recently constructed Ten Stone Lodge.

Black Spruce Education (BSE) is a non-profit based out of Norman Wells, Northwest Territories (NWT), that aims to grow the sustainable well-being of Northern communities by supporting the development of healthy youth and young adults. Our partnership will have Yukon Alpine Adventures guides leading this exciting new trip developed by BSE.

Our adventure starts in the small northern community of Norman Wells. From there, we’ll take a float plane to a serene lake, deep in the Sahtú Mountains. We’ll spend two days exploring the surroundings and relaxing at the fully furnished lodge. If we’re lucky, we’ll even get to use a wood-fired sauna in the evenings (planned construction date is June 2025). On day three, we’ll embark on a three-day backpacking trip to immerse ourselves in the Landscape. After a few nights in a tent, we’ll return to the lodge for an extra day to unwind and enjoy our surroundings.

Ten Stone Mountain Lodge is located on the Traditional Territory of the Sahtú Dene First Nation.
